VM95 Series Conical Stereo Cartridge

The AT-VM95C, Audio-Technica’s new entry-level Conical cartridge, replaces the legendary AT90 Series models such as the AT91, AT91R, and CN5625AL.

Offering excellent value for money, this cartridge is equipped with a conical stylus. The compatibility of the range allows you to upgrade your listening experience by choosing from the other 5 replacement styli in the series (Elliptical, Nude Elliptical, Microlinear, Shibata, and SP) without needing to purchase an entirely new cartridge.

VM95 Series - Stylus Compatibility

A diamond stylus naturally wears down after a certain period of use:

• Approximately 500 hours for a Conical stylus
• Approximately 300 hours for an Elliptical stylus
• Approximately 1000 hours for a Microlinear stylus
• Approximately 800 hours for a Shibata stylus

Thanks to the interchangeable design of the VM95 series, you can use the same cartridge body almost indefinitely. Simply replace the stylus with an identical model or upgrade your sound by installing a higher-end stylus profile.

VM95 Series Compatibility with AT-XP DJ Series Cartridges

• The electromagnetic generator of the XP Series is fully compatible with all VM95 Series replacement styli, but will deliver a higher output voltage. This is optimized for professional DJ mixers with lower phono input gain than consumer Hi-Fi equipment.
• The VM95 Series generator is also compatible with XP Series styli, but will output a lower voltage, ensuring better compatibility with standard Hi-Fi phono inputs.
• Note that the recommended tracking force for XP Series styli is 3.0g, compared to 2.0g for the VM95 Series.

Bonded Conical Stylus

The conical stylus has the advantage of offering a reliable contact surface between the diamond and the record groove, regardless of the recording type (stereo or mono) and tracking alignment precision.

Nutless Mounting

VM95 Series cartridges feature two M2.6 threaded inserts, allowing the cartridge to be mounted onto the tonearm or headshell without the use of nuts. Each cartridge comes with two pairs of M2.6 screws (8mm and 11mm) and two plastic washers.
