You love the ritual of vinyl, the sound of your turntable and record sleeves you can actually hold, but you do not want to bring back a large amplifier and a pair of bulky speakers.

The Arylic BP50 connects these two worlds. Connect your turntable to its phono input, pair a Bluetooth speaker or headphones, then start the record. The BP50 handles phono preamplification and wireless transmission.

It can even transmit the same programme to two Bluetooth headphones or receivers at the same time — perfect for sharing an album without turning the living room into a full hi-fi showroom.

The simple vinyl setup

• Connect the turntable’s RCA leads to the BP50 PHONO input.
• If your turntable has a ground wire, connect it to the BP50 GND terminal.
• Select wireless transmission on the BP50.
• Pair your Bluetooth headphones or speaker.
• Put on a record, lower the tonearm and enjoy.

If your turntable already has a built-in phono preamp and provides a LINE output, use the BP50 LINE IN instead, or switch the turntable’s own preamp off before using the PHONO input.

A compact audio control centre

The BP50 is useful well beyond vinyl. It can take TV sound through HDMI ARC, a CD player through optical or RCA, a computer through USB-C, and music files from a USB drive.

Outputs include Bluetooth, stereo RCA for active speakers or an amplifier, a subwoofer output, optical and coaxial digital outputs. It can modernise an existing system without forcing you to replace equipment you already enjoy.

High-quality, low-latency Bluetooth

The Qualcomm QCC3040 chip supports several Bluetooth codecs, including aptX HD, aptX Low Latency and aptX Adaptive. Actual quality and latency also depend on the codecs supported by the paired headphones, speaker, phone or transmitter. The devices automatically use a codec supported at both ends.

Wireless range can reach approximately 15 metres in favourable conditions. Arylic states approximately 10 metres when transmitting to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

GO CONTROL app

The GO CONTROL app provides source selection, volume adjustment, Bluetooth pairing, USB playback and custom EQ controls. A remote control is also included for everyday operation.

Important information before purchase

• The BP50 is a preamplifier, not a power amplifier. It cannot drive passive speakers directly.
• For listening without a separate amplifier, use a Bluetooth speaker, Bluetooth headphones or active powered speakers.
• In Bluetooth transmitter mode, audio is routed through Bluetooth; simultaneous wired and Bluetooth output is not available.
• aptX features require both devices to support the same codec. Otherwise, the connection falls back to a common compatible codec such as AAC or SBC.
• Set a connected TV’s HDMI ARC digital audio output to stereo PCM.
• The BP50 has no Wi-Fi network streaming or network multiroom function.
