Like SP discs have a monaural modulation, when combining a SP point with a stereo body, such as the AT-VM95SP, it is recommended to use the "mono on" function of the standard stereo preamplifier to minimize surface noise.

The AT-VM95SP, as stereo cartridge for mono SP discs, and when used with a professional phono preamplifier dedicated to archiving, will allow the sound engineer to minimize noise and distortion by sampling the least damaged side of the furrows of an old disc, the cartridge with independent left and right outings.

The diamond of a needle is wearing after a certain period of use.

About 500 hours for a conical tip, 300 hours for an elliptical point, 1000 hours for a microlinear point and 800 hours for a Shibata point.

Our Mobile Double Endimant cartridges in the VM95 series can be used over an almost infinite period by replacing the interchangeable needle . It is no longer necessary to buy a complete cartridge when the diamond is worn, it is possible to simply buy the corresponding replacement needle , but also to enrich your listening experience by opting for higher ranges reading tips.

The six cartridges models in the VM95 series all use the same cartridge body (electromagnetic generator). Therefore, the six reading tips are perfectly compatible with the cartridge body in the VM95 series.

Compatibility of the VM95 series with the DJ cartridges of the AT-XP series

• The electromagnetic generator of the XP series is entirely compatible with all the replacement reading points of the VM95 series, on the other hand it will provide an output voltage greater than that of the cartridges of the VM95 series. Thus, the adaptation is optimized for the phono inputs of professional DJ consoles with less gain than Hi-Fi materials.

• The electromagnetic generator of the VM95 series is also compatible with the three replacement reading points of the DJ cartridges of the XP series, however, the electromagnetic generator of the VM95 series will provide a lower output tension than the cartridge of the XP series in order to ensure better compatibility with the phono inputs of Hi-Fi equipment.

• Note that the recommended support force when using the XP series reading is 3G, against 2G for those in the VM95 series.

• The design of suspensions and compliance of the XP series reading tips have been adapted to DJ use, with the possibility of front and rear manual location. Note: its use is not suitable for intensive scratch due to the VM DUAL Magnet architecture.

• The suspensions of the VM95 series and their compliance characteristics have been designed to provide optimal audiophile reproduction.

Glued conical point (3mil)

Conical point glued with a large radius (3 mil) of curvature at the tip. The radius of curvature is 3 milt and is suitable for reading 78 laps discs of a wide variety of times (1920-1955). The chosen radius of 3 MIL makes it possible to minimize surface noise and distortion when reading used discs. A conical tip of 2.5 mIL will be reserved in the case of 78 laps discs in excellent conservation conditions.

Mounting without nut.

The cartridges of the VM95 series have two M2.6 threaded inserts allowing the installation without nuts of the cartridge on the full reading armor on oneheadshell removable. Each cartridge is delivered with two pairs of M2.6 screws, one of 8 and one of 11mm as well as two plastic washers.
